The Entertainment System Is Down è il film comedy in uscita. La trama è ambientata su un volo tra l'Inghilterra e l'Australia, dove il sistema di intrattenimento fallisce e i passeggeri sono costretti ad affrontare la noia.

Keanu Reeves è al cinema con Ballerina, e ha lavorato di recente in Matrix Resurrections e John Wick 4, e sarà in Good Fortune e Outcome. Nel cast c’è anche Kirsten Dunst, ha lavorato a Il potere del cane e Civil War, e sarà in Roofman. Gli altri attori sono Samantha Morton, già vista in The Whale e nella serie tv The Serpent Queen; Connor Swindells, interprete di Barbie e degli episodi di Sex Education; Daniel Brühl, visto di recente in Race for Glory - Audi vs. Lancia. La regia è di Ruben Östlund, che ha già diretto The Square e Triangle of Sadness, vincitore della Palma d'oro al 75º Festival di Cannes.

Östlund ha acquistato un Boeing 747 dismesso da utilizzare per le riprese che sono durate oltre 70 giorni, iniziate in Ungheria a gennaio 2025. A24 ha vinto un'offerta competitiva per i diritti di distribuzione statunitensi del film al Marché du Film. con un accordo a otto cifre. Il film esce nei cinema statunitensi il 20 dicembre 2025.
