One Night Only, the Movie Plot

One Night Only is the comedy and drama movie coming out. The plot follows two strangers, Allie and Owen (Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner) who scramble to find someone to sleep with on the only night of the year when premarital sex is legal.

"I'm hungry. I'm hungry" Allie screams in front of a closed venue. "It's closed" Owen responds from the other side; "I know the owner" she replies. Cut to a few hours earlier: "This night is crazy, I just want to find a good guy. True love" Allie says to a friend. "How can you think of finding love on the least romantic night of the year?" the friend insists.

"Your doors look like car doors" Allie jokes; "well your nose is definitely too small for your face" he counters. "You're adorable when you're nervous" he flirts with Allie; "I'm not nervous"; "then you're simply cute".

Monica Barbaro acted in Top Gun: Maverick and A Complete Unknown, for whose role as folk singer and activist Joan Baez she obtained her first Oscar nomination: she will be in Artificial with Andrew Garfield and directed by Luca Guadagnino. Callum Turner is the star of and in Eternity with Elizabeth Olsen, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and episodes of Masters of the Air, and will be in Rosebush Pruning - I pugni in tasca, remake of the movie by Marco Bellocchio.

The direction is by Will Gluck, who directed Anyone But You and How May We Hate You? and the screenplay - by Travis Braun - was at the top of the 2024 Blacklist. In this way Universal Pictures - which produces the movie - hopes to repeat the success of Anyone But You - starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell - which grossed $220.3 million at the worldwide box office.
